Edison Police Explorers Claim Victory in Explorer Conference

Nine members of Edison Police Explorer Post #215 attended the 2005 Southern New Jersey Law Enforcement Explorer Conference held at the Vineland, NJ. Police Headquarters on Saturday, October 22, 2005.

Nine members of Edison Police Explorer Post #215 attended the 2005 Southern New Jersey Law Enforcement Explorer Conference held at the Vineland, NJ. Police Headquarters on Saturday, October 22, 2005.

The nine explorers included:

  • Explorer Chief Christopher Gadomski
  • Captain Steve Martin
  • Lieutenant Mark Walsh
  • Sergeant Chris White
  • Sergeant Brian Lee
  • Officer Brianne Harrison
  • Officer Ian Evans
  • Officer Danny Mercado
  • Officer Angel Moret

The explorers were chaperoned by Edison Police Detective Michael Loreti, Patrolman Robert Dudash Jr. and Civilian Police Employee, Thomas Fairbanks.

The Edison Explorers were broken down into three teams of three explorers each competing against eight other Explorer Posts, eighteen teams in all from Southern New Jersey, including: Galloway Township, Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, Buena, Washington Township, City of Vineland, Pennsville, Mantua Township, and Bridgeton.

The Edison Explorers placed in all three competitions they participated in, they received a third place in Crime Scene Investigation, third place in Motor Vehicle Stops involving an Intoxicated Driver and a Second Place in Domestic Disputes. The post was awarded three trophies for their accomplishments. The purpose of the competition was to allow the explorers the opportunity to handle situations they have practiced for during the year as well as interact with other explorers from around New Jersey.
